Prior to coming to Mountain River, my visits with a physical therapist have typically been the same... arrive, fill out paperwork, see a therapist or assistant long enough for them to ask what I am having issues with and then receiving hot or cold therapy or e-stim therapy... That approach has never worked for me... So, when I was told I would need to attend physical therapy once again, I was less than thrilled (actually I thought, great, a waste of time and money)... however, I dragged my sorry backside to Mountain River PT and I am definitely glad that I did. My therapist, Justin Kiger (sorry if I butchered the spelling) is AH-MAZ-ING! He has actually helped me to move part of my body that have been in hibernation for YEARS! We have done everything from acupuncture (needling), to gentle head and neck massage on the days I am on so much pain I don't even want to get out of bed, to yoga... Justin is supportive and understanding, but still pushes me to work hard. For all of that I am grateful. Before I end my glowing review of Mountain River, I would also like to say that Shay (the receptionist/scheduler/insurance clerk) is also wonderfully sweet and always entertaining!
