Went when I was 14. Changed medication that didn't need changing and had allergic reaction and nearly died. VERY FEW members if the staff are nice. They also forced me to participate in group activities when I had the flu that I got from one of the staff.

They abused my lil girl and didn't take care of her! Hate this place!

I was there in February till May so three months. While I was there I got beat up by a gang of girls on my unit in the lunch room. No staff intervened and I got a concussion. After repeatedly complaining from my family the finally decided to get me checked. The hospital they took me too was not good. It was an emergency room and they didn't clean the room I was in and it seemed like it was a closet that's how small it was. I then got moved from the group of girls when my family continued to complain. I got moved to the visions unit. That is where the girls with lower IQs were. They were constantly fighting and yelling and in no way was that helpful for my recovery. Many of them were keeping and hiding things to cut with and were sharing them. I was moved back after I was hit and they were trying to fight me. I was put on the dreams unit which has all the little children and I did nothing there. Once I was back in the right unit I was petrified of getting ganged up on again. I didn't get out of there until I begged and pleaded with my family. The food was horrible everyone was on "special" diets and you couldn't have seconds. No sharing food either. So a lot of the time I was hungry. It only helped me because I'm to afraid to try and kill myself because I don't wanna go back.

I openly admit that Fox Run has helped me, when I came in I was a mess but looking back on it I believe that it was a place were people truly wanted to help even the other girls on my unit helped each other. When you are going to fight "Think of unicorns and Rainbows"

Im going to be honest, i did get a good start on the help i needed but the staffing and housing was terrible!! I do not recommend Fox Run, and not just because i was a resident. Oh, and no sharing food. XD
